NOT ANOTHER DROP AIMS TO HELP CREATE A SAFER LONDON BY:


Working with London communities to reduce youth violence reduce the use, possession

and carrying of guns and knives and their role in violent crime.The vision will achieved through:

targeted engagement and interventions for young people aged from 13 years through to 25  years old


This will be delivered by;


o Targeting key young people in a clear and focused manner

o Targeting youth support services/neighborhood working by London Councils

o Developing self esteem/personal development  programmes that move with the times

o Delivering diversionary activities for the target group promoting  self reliance anti-gun

and knife crime messages

o Supporting parents and families

o Using realistic role models

o Working directly with parents to change mindsets

o Focussed interventions targeting repeat offenders

 

Services offered by Not Another Drop:


o Through one to one mentoring and support in schools

o Parent children mediation service

o Offering exit opportunities to individuals involved in gangs

o Working hard with those that find it hard to change

o Working as a buffer between the various police agencies and  our communities

o Ensuring a joined up approach

o Ensuring community buy in

o Learning from people involved in gangs – understanding what would have stopped them

o Engaging effectively with London communities to ensure a strong partnership approach to reducing Gang membership and the use, possession and carrying of guns and knives.
