Devastation of communities is not exclusive to us here in Brent, shootings, stabbings, extreme violence amongst our youth is a constant worry but at a time like this we have to take a long look at what we as a community take for granted, flat screen TV, Playstation’s in prisons, and the safety net of social housing, social security, seeing this disaster in Haiti, we at NAD ask the community to show their support and assist those most in need.
As part of our combined social responsibility we can not afford to ignore one of the most devastating human disasters of our time. When we look at the name Not Another Drop and use it in the same sentence as the Haiti disaster it brings home the full meaning of our name, how many drops of blood has been spilled in Haiti ? To date a conservative estimate is 150- 200, 000 people have lost their lives. Port Au Prince is now a open air morgue, with bodies laying on the streets, parents trapped under collapsed buildings whilst the children wonder the streets of Haiti. Please donate what you can to the Haiti Earthquake appeal. We have provided links below to help. Thanks for your support.
